SMITH, ROBERTA, age 91, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2000. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and her great desire was to go to Heaven. Mrs. Smith retired from Avondale Mills in Birmingham in 1971 where she was a weaver. Mrs. Smith is a member of the Assemblies of God. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert E. Smith, as well as her parents, five brothers and three sisters. She is survived by one son, Frank D. Smith and his wife, Janice Howell of Tallahassee, FL; one daughter Shirley Ann Cagle and her husband, W. J. (Jim) Cagle, Jr. of Pell City, AL; four grandchildren, Terri Smith Head, Layne Smith, both of Tallahassee, FL, Debra Renee Parmley of Birmingham, AL, Elisa Dale Harry of Moody, AL; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Lloyd Lambert of Birmingham, AL, and Irene Hullett of Toledo, OH; one brother, Ernest, "Buddy" Watson of Pleasant Grove, AL; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2000, at 10 am in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Reverend Tim Brown officiating. Bell Forestdale directing.
