81, died June 22, 2001. She was born April 2, 1920 the daughter of the late Thomas Gold Dixon and Ruth Amanda Branton Dixon. She was the wife of the late J.C. Propst. She was retired as a lab technician for Fiber Industries. After her retirement from Fiber, Mrs. Propst worked for a number of years at Stamey Stores.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Dorothy Propst of Lawndale; daughter, Judy P. Hamrick of Lawndale; brother, Ned Dixon of Clemmons; a special family friend, Lon A. Canipe of Lawndale; grandson & his wife, Jerry & Mary Propst; grandson, Joel Hamrick; granddaughter, Jill Propst, grandson, Danny Propst and great grandson, Will Propst.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Hamrick; son-in-law, Bobby G. Hamrick; 2 brothers, Earl Dixon and Jim Dixon; 3 sisters, Irene Compton, Pat Wright and Ann Whitaker.
She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter's United Methodist Church. Burial will be St. Peter's United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter's United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. The Revs. Steve Kiser and Archie Chapman will officiate.
