American Actress. She was an American comedy actress, staring in films as a child performer from the silent days as part of a double act with her famous sister Genevieve Tobin. She came to notice as "Alice" in the first stage production of "Alice in Wonderland" (1915). Later, she performed in vaudeville on the Orpheum Circuit and returned to films, playing Dacia in "The Sign of the Cross" (1932) and appeared in the films "Major Difficulties" (1938), "Stage Fright" (1938), and she had a steady run in 2-reel comedies at RKO as Leon Errol's wife. Vivian was married to Dr. Karl O. von Hagen in 1935, a neurologist and psychiatrist, and former Chairman of the Department of Neurology at USC Medical School. She and her husband had one son and one daughter together. She was the younger sister of actress Genevieve Tobin (Keighley) and actor George Tobin.
