I suggest that the "adoption" was not legal. He was raised by Lena Kern & Her Husband, however he retained his birth name. His parents are Arthur Joseph Kern (brother of Lena Kern Boudreaux) & & Winifred E. BARLOW bn 13 May 1892 in Vivian, Caddo Parish, La. & died only 8 days after Arthur Jr's. birth, on 06 Mar 1919 in Vivian, Caddo Parish, La.
