A resident of Winnie area since 1964, he was a Navy veteran of WWII and served in the South Pacific theater. He was an avid gardener and wood-worker. He retired from a career of instrumentation/electronics in area industrial facilities.
Survivors include his wife, Mackie Stevens. They were married on June 22, 1949; three sons: Mack Stevens and his wife, Sheila, Billy Stevens and his wife, Fran, Lyn Stevens and his wife, Vicki; brother, J. W. Stevens and his wife Becky ; sister, Beulah Wilson; grandchildren, Marijke Stevens, Thad Stevens, Josh Stevens, Courtney Meyers, Casey Stevens, Phoebe Stevens, Chloe Stevens, Priscilla Stevens, Naomi Stevens, three great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends.
