SHERMAN - Funeral for Ila Fredona "Dona" McDonald, 73, who died Friday in her home, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Forest Avenue Baptist Church here. Burial will be in Leonard Cemetery at Leonard. Waldo Funeral Home will handle arrangements.

Born May 16, 1912 at Sanger to Isaac Milton and Daisy Teague Blanton, she married Randell McDonald, July 20, 1934 at Greenville. She worked at Burlington Industries in Sherman for 25 years, retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Forest Avenue Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Survivors include her husband of Sherman; two daughters, Joyce Kwan of Yellow Spring, Oh. and Jerri James of Canbury, N.J.; one brother, Marvin Blanton of San Antonio; two sisters, Vernell Moore and Opal Harden, both of Martin, and five grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday and other times at the family residence, 401 West Rainey in Sherman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Forest Avenue Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
