OGDEN - Matha Durney Gray, 85, died on Sunday, May 10, 1992 at the McKay-Dee Hosptial Center.

She was born on January 27, 1907 in Auburn, Wyoming, a daughter of John S. and Annie Frandson Durney.

On August 8, 1927 she married Andrew DeVore (Dee) Gray in Salt Lake City. He died on November 25, 1976.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the 17th Ward where she had served as a visiting teacher.

She devoted her life to her family, her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making many beautiful items for her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmie D. Gray and wife Carmen, North Ogden; Ronald D. Gray and wife Norma, Brighton, Michigan; Robert D. Gray and wife LaVerna of Hooper, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, LaVar Durney and Floyd Weir, Nevada; Maxine Milyard and Dorothy Mollo, California.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd. with Bishop James Van Hook of the 17th LDS Ward officiating. Friends may call at the mortuary on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment in the Bountiful Cemetery.
