Broadus Lee (B.L.) Presser, 89, of Malden, Mo., died Thursday, February 16, 1995, at Dexter Memorial Hospital, Dexter, Mo.
Born Sunday, April 30, 1905 at New Franklin, Mo., he was the son of the late John Lee Presser and Ada Mae (Smythe) Presser.
A Southern Baptist, Mr. Presser was affiliated with First Southern Baptist Church in Malden.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was co-owner of Presser-Wagster Drug in Steele, Mo. and Holland, Mo., worked for Rexall Drug Store in Steele, Norrid's Morehead Clinic Pharmacy at Malden, Gunter Pharmacy at Campbell, Mo., and Meyer Drug Store in Eexter.
At Steele on March 28, 1942, he was united in marriage with the former Mary Iola Pyland.
Mr. Presser leaves his wife, Mrs. Mary Iola Presser, of Malden; Two sons: Stephen Lee Presser of Atlanta, Ga. and William Henry Presser of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; A daughter, Mrs. Sandra Lynn Kingree of Bloomfield, Mo.; One sister, Mrs. Dorothy Pyrtle of Desloge, Mo.; and Six grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Presser were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 1995, at Bradshaw Chapel in Malden with Rev. Charlie Shrum officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Cliff Goss.
Burial was at Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Mo., with Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden in charge of arrangements.
