William McCardy Herring, 40, son of Mrs. Zora White Herring and the late William C. Herring, died suddenly in Newport News Friday at 11 p.m.
Besides his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. S.E. Bray, Mrs. E.S. Chick and Mrs. W.J. McCoy; two brothers, A.T. and E.S. Herring, all of Norfolk.
Mr. Herring was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, and resided at 2205 Dennis Avenue.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Riverside Memorial Park.
