Mrs. Etta Herring Bray, 46, wife of Samuel E. Bray and daughter of Mrs. Zora White Herring and the late Mr. Herring, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 4 a.m. Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. B.W. Landolf and Miss Barbara Bray, both of Princess Anne County and Mrs. Roosevelt Davis, of Norfolk; three sons, Samuel E. Bray, Jr., of Christiansburg, and Herbert T. Bray and Russell D. Bray, both of Long Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. E.S. Chick and Mrs. W.J. McCoy, both of Norfolk; two brothers, A.T. Herring, of Norfolk, and E.S. Herring, of Wilmington, N.C.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bray was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and Princess Anne County and resided on Cottage Drive, RFD 2, Princess Anne County.
The body will be taken from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to the Kempsville Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Bray was a member, for funeral services tomorrow at 2 p.m. The body will lie in state an hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
