Son of Eli Adams (1842-1927) & Savilla Linnissa Dunkle (1848-1928)
Emory was born in Perry, Dallas county, Iowa and in 1911, married Clara Angeline Fields. He lived in Iowa for most of his life, then moved to Visalia, CA for the remainder of his life. Emory and Clara had eleven children together, Lola Mildred, Melvin George, Vilda Mary, Leland Emory, Gerarld, Eunice Almyra, Ivan LaVern, Opal Ellen, Marion Paul, Wilbur Kenneth and Doris Frances. Gerald passed away at about two years of age, all of the rest of the sibling lived good long lives, Vilda and Marion are the only surviving members of the immediate family.
I was a young child when my grandfather passed away, so I have only a limited memory of him, but what I do know is, Emory was a kind and loving, gentle giant and I do wish I had known him better!
