MAHALA ADAMS COLYER.
Mrs. Mahala Adams Colyer was born in Platte county, Missouri, in November 1844, and died in Manhattan, Kansas, April 4th, 1907. She had lived in Winchester for many years until about six months ago when she moved to Manhattan. The funeral took place from the Christian church in this city last Saturday, Rev. Wilson of Valley Falls officiating. Interment was in the Hull cemetery.
In early life she united with the Christian church and has been a faithful follower of her Lord. For a number of years her health had been frail and last July she suffered a stroke of paralysis from which she rallied. She had a second stroke which was the cause of her death. She leaves two sisters and one brother to mourn the loss of a dear sister.
