Doris is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and James Lambert of Sidney, Lee and Jerry Fell of Crawford, Texas, Pam and Carl Godfrey of Troy and Doris "Lisa" Hamaker-Macey of Sidney; nine grandchildren, David, Penny, Billy, Anessa, Nikki, Heather, Amber, Stacey and Krissy; seven great-grandchildren, Michael, Kristen, Robert, Tyler, Brandon, Chance and Gage; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Elnora Mumford of St. Paris, Mabel Snider of Troy, Goldie Gross of Sidney, Thelma Pequignot of Carysville and Jessie and Robert Hewett of Fletcher; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Barb Mullen of Conover.
She was preceded in death by her two sons, Charles and William C. Hamaker; grandson, Christopher; four brothers and one sister.
Doris was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Sidney. She graduated from Brown Township High School in Miami County and she worked at the Ohio Historical Society in Piqua for 4 1/2 years up until she retired in October 2004.
There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, Troy with the Rev. Ed Ellis officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
