She was born Alice Joyce Kelsey, Sept. 17, 1917, in Marysville, Kan. On Aug. 12, 1939, in Orange, Calif., she married John Franklin Summers, who died in February 1989. They moved to Grants Pass in 1950 from Hoskins.
She enjoyed traveling, genealogy, family pictures, photo albums and home movies. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Sullivan and Sharon Bates, both of Medford; two sons, Johnnie Summers of Hillsboro and Donald Summers of East Wenatchee, Wash.; a brother, Robert Kelsey of Coarsegold, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
