M.E. Crandall Funeral Is Held.
Funeral services for M. Eugene Crandall were held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon (March 10, 1948) at the Halwig Funeral Home. Rev. Winton H. Halsted, pastor of the People's Methodist Church, officiated, and burial was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Harold C. Banfield, Wilham Clark, Elwin N. Clark, L. Elwood Farrar, John Sherman, and Clyde Reynolds.
Attending from out of town were; Carl Crandall, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Lula Stowell and Mrs. Genevieve Broderick, Arlington, Va.; Mr. and Mrs. John Sherman, Mr. and Mrs. W.N. Witherell, Mr. and Mrs. F.F. Witherell, and Mrs. C.A. Close, Weston's Mills.
