Mr. Jerry L. Barton, 73 of Greensboro, GA, formerly of Dunwoody, GA and Louisville, KY passed away January 2, 2011.

Mr. Barton was a career businessman, employed for over 20 years with Genuine Parts Co. achieving the position of Vice-President. He resigned from Genuine Parts to accept the position of President and CEO of Belknap Hardware. Later he was CEO and President General Hardware and the founder of the American Seniors Association. A member of numerous board of directors including, Hillerich and Bradsby, Bankers Note, Kentucky Fried Chicken Co-op, Bellermine College, the Athletic boards of University of Louisville and Georgia State University and the Retail Roundtable of Georgia State. An avid golfer, he was a member of Harbor Club, Duwoody, Atlanta National, Louisville, Valhalla, Owl Creek and Monterey Peninsula Country Clubs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia Hollis Barton; sons, Lee (Sally), Hollis (Sharon), Stuart (Amy) and Bill (Elizabeth); and 14 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson.
