Mary was the daughter of Frank Turner and Frances Turner. She was educated in the Houston County School System. She retired from the Houston County Board of Education after 18 1/2 years of dedicated service. She was a member of Sandbed Baptist Church in Kathleen, Georgia.
She was married to Timothy Dixon on March 28,1950, they had 8 children. She was preceded in death by 1 son; Ernest L. Dixon, and 1 sister; Ruth T. Askew.
