Mrs. J. Kirby died last Tuesday at her home northwest of town from the effects of cerebral meningitis. She was 42 years old and leaves a husband and 7 children. Rev. Poe conducted the funeral at the family home yesterday. Burial at Old Homer Cemetery. Her death was very sudden, resulting only after a few hours' illness.
