Funeral services for Albert Durtsche, 66, of 534 Francis St., who died Thursday morning, Nov. 10, were conducted at 9 a. m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Very Rev. John P. Foley officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, where a military escort took part in the graveside service. Pallbearers were Ted Tilly, Paul Tilly, Tom Casey, Fred Thibodeau, Henry Boyer and Harlan Boyer. Members of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans took part in the ceremonies. Commander of the men was James Roach. Color bearers were Albert Boe and Richard Coon. Color guards were Peter Finnegan and Ed E. Peterson. On the firing squad were Bert Murphy, William Miller, Floyd Hammond, John Roberts, Paul Roberts and Robert Hanegraaf. James Glynn was the bugler. Members of the escort were Robert King, Francis Paquette and John F. Kenney. Albert Durtsche was born on July 21, 1899, at Pratt, Kansas. He served overseas in World War I. He is survived by two sisters: Rose Durtshe of Faribault and Mark Kirk of Venice, Calif.; and two brothers: Frank and Clayton of Faribault.
