Miss M. Viola Broadwater, 78, of Grantsville, died March 18, 1974, in Meyersdale Community Hospital.
A native of Grantsville, she was a daughter of the late Sanson and Marian (Frost) Broadwater. An elementary school teacher in Garrett County, Md., for a number of years, she was a member of American Association of Retired Teachers, Cresap Chapter DAR, Garrett County Historical Society, Mt. Chapter 15, Order of Eastern Star, St. Paul's United Methodist Church and its WSCS. For a number of years she served as Grantsville correspondent to The Meyersdale Republican.
Funeral service will be conducted this (Thursday) morning in Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, with Rev. Paul Lovejoy officiating. Interment in Grantsville Cemetery.
