Mr. Carpenter died at 8:45 P.M. Saturday (March 24, 1973) in Barnesville Hospital. Born Nov. 29, 1895 in Monroe County, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Miller
Carpenter. A farmer, he was a Methodist by faith and a veteran of World War 1. He was also a member of the Veterans of World War 1 of the USA Inc.
Mr. Carpenter leaves four sons, Guy, Donald, Sylvan and Dale, all of Barnesville; two daughters, Edith and Ora of the home; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandsons; and one sister, Mrs. Ora Johnson of Barnesville.
His wife, Tressie Carpenter died in 1970. One son Ellsworth and one brother Raymond are also deceased. Monday 26 March 1973 Jeffersonian.
