F. Blanche DonCarlos, 90, resident of Bartlesville, died AT 3:20 A.M on Friday at the Adams PARC nursing center. Graveside Services for Mrs. DonCarlos will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday February 22, 2012 at the Robbins Cemetery near Dearing, Kansas.
Mrs. Don Carlos was born January 26, 1922 at Delaware, Oklahoma to William & Beulah (Young) Crawford. She grew up and received her early education at Delaware, where she graduated with the Delaware High School Class of 1941. She later met and married Tex DonCarlos on July 19, 1942 at Nowata, Oklahoma. They made their home in several towns in Oklahoma and Kansas until moving to the Wichita Kansas area where they lived until 1964, when they moved to Nowata, where she was a member of the Genealogy Society for several years. They later moved to Bartlesville in 2001, and they made their home here since that time. Mr. & Mrs. DonCarlos had been Foster parents to 26 young people over the years. Mr. DonCarlos preceded her in death on March 24, 2003.
Mrs. DonCarlos attended the Hillside Christian Church while in Nowata, and also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and was a seamstress for several people, and enjoyed growing flowers and being outside.
Mrs. DonCarlos is survived by her daughter Mrs. Delores J. Nolf, of Bartlesville, and by a sister Mrs. Dorothy Crawford, and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Tex, she was preceded in death by her parents, and by one sister, Marguerite Burgess, and by one brother William Alfred Crawford
