Mrs. Eva Adeline Swinney, 75, of Mt. Pulaski died at 6:45 a. m. Friday at her home.
She was born Aug. 29, 1868 near Harrisburg, III. where she married John C. Swinney. He died in 1942.
Nine children survive: Mrs. Opal Swartz, Champaign; Lloyd Swinney and Mrs. Gladys VanDeventer, Mt. Pulaski; Mrs. Madge Zelle, St. Louis; Mrs. Mary Rammel, Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Kenova Beidler, Chicago; Mrs. Ruth Pattison and Mrs. Reba Seymour, of Springfield. One brother and four sisters also survive: M. Arthur Rice, Mrs. Jasper Powers, Mrs. Vern Anderson, Harrisburg; Mrs. Ruby Potter, Shawneetown; and Mrs. Ollie Carr, Whittier, N. C.
Mrs. Swinney was a member of the Mt. Pulaski Methodist church and World War I Mother's society.
Services 2 30 p. m. Sunday in Mount Pulaski Methodist church: burial in Mount Pulaski cemetery.
