Services for Loraine Ann Bownds Frederick, 86, of Conroe, formerly of Houston, will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mrs. Frederick died Monday, March 28, 2011 at her home in Conroe.

She was born Oct. 8, 1924, at Lexington to Jack Ira Bownds and Annie Water Bownds.

She married on July 30, 1965, in Spring.

Mrs. Frederick was the manager for Lerners & Alaskan Dress Shops. She was also a former Avon and home interior representative.

She was a Conroe resident for the past 34 years.

She was a member of the Episcopal Church and Chateau Woods Women's Club Bowling League.

Mrs. Frederick was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and a son, Larry Randall Carnes.

Survivors are her husband, three stepsons, two daughters, a stepdaughter, and a sister, also, nine grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
