Lloyd Boren, 84, Old Edwards Mill Road, died at 2:45 this morning, May 13, 2011, at his home following a long illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Locust Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Field officiating.
Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Pembroke.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Lamb Funeral Home.
A native of Hogjaw community in Trigg County, he was born June 20, 1926, the son of the late Troy and Ruby Futrell Boren.
He was a farmer and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church where he had served as deacon, trustee and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Elene Outland Boren; two daughters, Mrs. David (Brenda) Jenkins, Mrs. Tony (Annette) Fennell, both of Christian County; two sisters, Juanita Perry, Dover, Tenn., Grace Askew, Christian County, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
