Mildred Louise Westerman, 73, LaFayette, died of natural causes at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2004, at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tenn.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roy Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Powell Cemetery, LaFayette. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
A native of Model, Tenn., she was born Oct. 1, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Troy and Ruby Futtrell Boren. She worked at Pinecrest Manor nursing home and Morningside of Hopkinsville. Her husband, Eugene Westerman, died in 1996. A son, Lloyd Westerman, died in 1992.
Survivors include four sons, Floyd Westerman, Indiana, and Michael Westerman, Stephen Westerman and Terry Westerman, all of LaFayette; three daughters, Nancy Westerman, Oak Grove, Patricia Box, Rogers, Ark., and Sherry Westerman, LaFayette; a brother, Lloyd Boren, Pembroke; two sisters, Juanita Perry, Dover, Tenn., and Grace Askew, Christian County; and 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A fund has been established in honor of Mildred Westerman. Donations can be made at Heritage Bank, 2700 Fort Campbell Blvd.
