Jeff M. Allen, 77, of Parkersburg died Sunday March 6, 2005 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born in Roane County a son of the late Darley Orris and Effie May Lucas Allen.

He retired, after 16 years, from Chain Industries as a welder.

He is survived by his stepson Kenneth R. "Pete" Uhl and his wife Sharon of Parkersburg, grandsons Michael Uhl of Parkersburg and James Uhl and his wife Gina of Ohio; grandchildren J.D. and Ryan Uhl of North Carolina, and Justin Uhl of Parkersburg; three brothers Orris Allen of McConnelsville, OH, and Carl and Orville Allen of Parkersburg; a sister Frances Lyons of Eastlake, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ida Geraldine Allen in 1999, three brothers Bernard and Virgil Hughes and Dennis Allen, and a sister June Mullins.

According to his request his body will be cremated and the cremated remains will be scattered at a later date. Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
