R. J. LaForce
Richard J. LaForce, 72, of 132 Shonnard St., died yesterday at State University Hospital after a sudden illness. He had retired from the Diefendorf Co. as a machinist in 1968.Mr. LaForce lived in Syracuse more than 40 years. He was born in Keene. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marion LaForce; five sons, Mel E. of Durhamville, James R. of Long Island, Robert A. of Weedsport, Curt P. of Bridgeport and Hal A. LaForce; two daughters, Mrs. Penny Hobart of Weedsport, and Mrs. Mary Tingiris; a brother, Oscar LaForce of Florida; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Johnson, and Mrs. Zoe Reidy of Florida; 26 grandchildren.
Services will be tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Fairchild and Meech Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today.
