In Memory

A gloom was cast over the entire community when on Dec. 16th the death angel came into the home of Mrs. B F Earp and claimed the sweet spirit of her mother, Mrs. Nancy E Langham (Lanham), age 79 years and 1 day, and this another good woman has passed away another home made sad. She was a good woman, a kind loving grandmother, and a true and loyal friend and neighbor. She was loved by all how knew her. Dear bereaved ones, grieve not, for your loss is her eternal gain. She has gone home. Yes, she had gone to a house not made with hands, eternal in the Heavens. It's so hard to give up a dear, sweet mother, so hard to be submissive and say they will. O Lord, not mine be done but when we look back on the beautiful life of this good woman we can but feel that when her sweet spirit took its bright and wafted its way to Heaven, that she was bidden to enter in and she is there today with the Heavenly host, basking in the sunshine of a Savior's love. Children and grandchildren, you can only look to Him whose death all things will be alone can comfort if you will live a Christian life, some day you will meet her in the beautiful beyond where there is no sickness, pain nor death and no more sad good-byes are said.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. B F Earp; Mrs. J N Stafford, of Woodland and Mrs. G E Brand of Slate Springs; and three sons, Mr. J W Lanham of San Saba, Texas; Mr. W M Lanham, Holland, and Mr. W F Lanham of Abbott and two step-sons, Mr. B B Lanham of Woodland and Mr. G B Lanham, of Celina, Texas; and two brothers; Mr. W H Saunders of Quitman, Miss., and George Sanders of Los Angeles, Cal. She has also forty grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
