He was born at home on Oct. 29, 1932, in East Peoria to Arthur and Theresa (Koopman) Haedicke. He married Nancy Decker on Feb. 7, 1953, in Peoria, Ill., and she survives.
Surviving are his children, Robert (Mary) Haedicke and Lucy Haedicke, both of East Peoria; two brothers, Arthur (Jean) Haedicke and Gerald (Hildegard) Haedicke, both of East Peoria; and a sister, Alice (Earl) Johnston of East Peoria.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Leroy was a lifelong farmer and building contractor.
A private family graveside service will be held in Haedicke Family Cemetery.
