R.F. BEAMER DEAD
A Respected Citizen Gone To Join the Great Majority
At 11:30 o'clock yesterday morning Richard Frieland Beamer, a cousin of Hon. R. H. Beamer, died after an illness of two weeks. The deceased was born in Carroll County, Virginia, on March 10, 1849. He learned the trades of carpenter and engineer at which he worked during the greater portion of his life. He spent several years in Montana and Idaho, coming to California fourteen years ago, since which time he has lived in Shasta, Colusa, and Yolo Counties being engaged principally in farming. During the past year, he was foreman on the ranch of R. H. Beamer.

In December 1885, he was married to Miss Emma Ruby, in Cottonwood, Shasta county, by whom he had three children, two little boys, Grover and Roy, and a little girl, Carrie, all of whom survive him.

He was not at the time of his death, a member of any fraternal society, although at one time, he took an active interest in masonry. His death resulted from a complication of diseases starting with la grippe contracted two weeks ago, which rapidly developed into pneumonia and derysipelas.

Mr. Beamer was an honest, hard working, faithful man, a respected citizen and a kind and loving husband and father, whose untimely taking off will bring sorrow to the hearts of all who knew him.

The funeral will take place from the residence of Grandma Beamer, on Saturday next at 2 o'clock P.M.
