Born at Stewartstown, Mrs. Fackler was a daughter of the late Harry M. and Annie McDonald Gibbs and had resided in York at the Hillcrest address the past 40 years.
Mrs. Fackler taught in the West York Area School District until her retirement three years ago from the A. H. Martin Elementary faculty.
She was serving as secretary at the time of her death of the Retired Teachers Association of York County and was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two children: Dr. Martin L. Fackler, Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. Eugene Gruver, Dallastown RD 1, and four grandchildren.
The Rev. Dr. Gordon Folkemer, pastor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, will officiate at the funeral on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
