Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in United Methodist Church of Happy with the Rev. Tom Stribling, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery in Happy. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon.
Margaret Murdock was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Silverton to G.S. and Vergie Hodges Harris. She married Alfred Ray Murdock. She owned Al's Restaurant in Happy for more than 30 years and then owned restaurants in Amarillo, Dimmitt and Tucumcari. She was an excellent cook and loved to play bingo.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999; and a daughter, Tanya McCarley, in 2000.
Survivors include a daughter, Karen Hargrave and husband Mark of Happy; six grandsons; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Happy Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 216, Happy, TX 79042.
