Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday in LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road., with Glen Walton officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Mrs. Day was born and raised in Briscoe County. She had been a resident of Amarillo for more than 40 years. Imogene worked as a sales clerk for many years for several different firms, including Woolworths and the Hospital in Clovis, N.M.
Mrs. Day was a Head Start teacher for many years. She was an excellent cook and was known for her pastries. She loved quilting, sewing and other handicrafts. Mrs. Day was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L Day; a son, Bill Barclay; and a daughter, Shirley Harp.
Survivors include a daughter, Christina Saxelby and husband Robert of Austin; a son, Ray Barclay of Amarillo; a sister, Margaret Murdock of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the American Heart Assoc.
