On Monday, June 5, 1915, Mrs. Elizabeth Close, wife of J. T. Close died at her home near Lobb, Kentucky of gangreen of the foot, age 82 years. She was a member of Grissom Baptist Church. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery near there.
She was a daughter of John and Jane Diane Lewis (Dimmie) Bale and one of twelve children.. Her husband had preceded her to the heavenly home a number of years agon. She is survived by four children: Rush T. Close, Christopher C. Close, John G. and Laura L.
She was 81 yrs 10 months and 9 days of age and had been a consistent member of the Baptist Church for more than 60 years.
She is survived by Mrs. J. T. Close, a sister of Senator W. J. Bale and mother of R. T. CloseGreen County Marriage license
