THE PAWNEE ROCK LEADER

DIED - On Wednesday, May 21st, 1890, at his residence in Pawnee county, 6 miles west of Pawnee Rock, Mr. Michael David. Mr David was born in Kentucky, April 8, 1827, making him 63 years, 1 month and 13 days old. He moved to Indiana in 1834, to Ill. in 1860 and in 1874 to Kas.. where he has lived ever since. He was converted in 1847 and united with the Presbyterian church to which he belonged until after he came to Kansas, here he united with the M. E. church and died in that faith. He leaves a wife, one son and three daughters, of which Mrs. J. H. Flick is one.
Funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Wm. Bartle, at the residence and the remains were entered at Larned cemetery. The funeral cortege was said to have been one of the largest that was ever seen in Larned.
