Francis was born August 6, 1906 in Rock Falls to Charles and Carrie May Gilrow Goff. He married Henrietta Katherine Janssen on November 28, 1935 in Sterling.
He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and Carpenters Union Local 695.
Survivors include his wife Henrietta; a brother, Richard Goff; sisters, Mrs. Helen Myers, and Fern Goff; an aunt, Mrs. Maude Edwardson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Alice Coats.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Melvin-Shilling Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Reverend James L. Kragness, Pastor, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sterling, officiating. Burial was made in Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.
Memorials in his memory have been established to St. Paul Lutheran Church and the American Heart Association.
