Eldest son of Samuel Morticia Cook and Lillie May Sutterfield Cook. Walter stepped on a nail and died from lockjaw (Tetanus today) at age 11 years old .

His mother Lillie could not bear the thought of her eldest child being buried alone in Nebraska. When her husband Samuel Morticia Cook died in 1977, she had Walter's remains exhumed and brought to California to be entombed with his father in their crypt.
