Ralph Oakley Ellis passed away January 22, 1997 of heart failure.

He was born January 9, 1915 in Oakley, Idaho to LeRoy and Emma McFarland Ellis. He was reared and educated in Bothwell, Utah and attended Bear River High School. He married Chloe Thompson, May 22, 1939. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, September 3, 1965.

Survivors include his wife, of Kearns; four children, Nadene (Dennis) Gamble, Elko, Nevada; Stevan (Rita) Ellis, Ogden; Duane (Dawna) Ellis, Kearns; Roger Ellis, Taylorsville; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 27, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Redwood Chapel, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
