My wonderful and kind-hearted Aunt Inge, one of mom's two favourite cousins. Unlike her sister, Aunt Inge did not stay in this dull little town, but married a kind man from the Ruhr area - when moving back there, she more or less got back to the roots of the family, as her own mother was born in the Ruhr area.

I remember the many happy holidays we spent with Aunt Inge and Uncle Herbert. There was this warmth and love that just touched your heart, and truth to be told, Aunt Inge always knew how to spoil me; sadly, she never had children, which is why she concentrated on her cousin's kids.

Aunt Inge passed away after a long and courageous battle, several weeks before her own aunt Mathilde (my granny).

I shall always be so glad and thankful for having had this special and much loved aunt.

It is Saturday, and just in time for this Memorial Day Weekend 2012, a wonderful find a grave friend kindly sponsored my beloved aunt's memorial.

Blessings* Family Ties - that was an incredibly touching gesture of love, thanks so very much !
