Bertrand W. French died at his home this morning following an illness of several weeks. He was born in Harmony Dec. 19, 1869, the son of Thomas F. and Frances French.
He married Grace Scott, April 7, 1893 and they had three children, Goff, who died in 1944, Tom of Fryeburg, and Mrs. Philip Matthews of North Anson. He was employed by Porter and Marston many years.
He was a member of Northern Star Lodge No. 128 F. & A.M. and Mount Bigelow Chapter No. 48, O.E.S.
Surviving , Tom and daughter, Mrs. Philip Matthews, a brother, William F. French, Portland, two half brothers and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday at the Congregational Church.
