The death angel came into the home of Mr. William Shaffer and claimed his beloved wife, Mrs. Sara Shaffer, who died on Thursday between 3 and 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Her son, Irwin, died just two weeks ago and this affliction hurried her death. She lived a Christian life and died without one enemy. She was a member of the Reformed church. She was aged 63 years and leaves a husband and the following children: Lloyd of this place, Edmund and Mrs. Amanda Himes, living at Roaring Spring, Mrs. Lillie Stewart of Cross Keys, Mrs. Wrintha Wilt of Altoona, and Lawrence, at home. She had twenty-three grandchildren. Rev. W. A. Long of Philadelphia will conduct the funeral services at 10 o'clock on Sunday morning. Interment in the cemetery here.
