Obituary September 15, 1910 reads: Henry Brooks, age 70 years died last Sunday at his home on Sand Creek north of Pawhuska. He was born in Yorkshire in 1841 and had spent nearly forty years in America, about fifteen or twenty of that time in Osage Co. He leaves a family of seven sons, two daughters and a widow to mourn his death. Interment was had in the Pappin Cemetery. (Funeral expenses were charged to W.T. Brook in the amount of $75.00)
Mr. Brook reportedly died of cancer of the stomach; death certificate was signed by Dr. Walker.
Mr. Brook was of the Methodist religion.
