A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Dora Prejean Viator, 84, who died March 1, 2012 at Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home in Carencro.

Fr. Gary Schexnayder will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann Viator of Cankton; one son, Ronald Joseph Viator of Crowley; one former sister-in-law, Barbara Kober Viator of Crowley; three grandchildren, Robin Richard, Dawn Viator, and Ryan Viator; and one great-grandchild, Catherine Grace Kolb.

Mrs. Viator is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Viator, her parents, Andrienne and Ella Babineaux Prejean; her step-father, Arcade Roger; one sister, Dorothy Boudreaux; and three brothers, Leo Paul Prejean, Gussie Prejean, and Gervais Prejean.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Louisiana Alzheimer's Association: 2605 River Road, New Orleans, LA 70121

The family would like to thank the staff of Evangeline Oak Nursing home for the loving care they gave during her time there.
