Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Mass Tuesday, February 3, 1998, in St. Peter Catholic Church for Gussie Prejean, 66, who died early Sunday morning, February 1, due to the results of an automibile accident in West Baton Rouge Parish.
Intermetn will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. The Rev. Gregor Down, pastor of St Peter Catholic Church wil officate at the servies.
Musical selections will be provided by Valarie Andrus, Accompanied by Phyllis Simar on the organ. The songs will be "The Old Rugged Cross," Isaiah 49," "Take My Hand Precious Lord" and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee."

Mr. Prejean was a native of Cankton and a resident of Carencro.

Survivors include his wife, Lilian Olivier Prejean Of Carencro; one son, Michael Prejean and wife Martha of Bosco; two daughters Sandra Broussard and husband Tommy of Carencro, Brenda Stelly and husband Alan of Lafayette; one brother, Gervais Prejean of Vatican; two sisters, Sorothy Viator of Bosco and Mrs. Alfred (Dora) Viator of Crowley; four grandchildren, April Latiolais, Jessica Harrison, Lacey Prejean, and Bryant Prejean; and one great-grandchild, Zachary Latiolais.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian Prejean and the former Ella Babineaux, both natives of Vatican; his step-father, Arcade Roger; one son, Tommy Prejean; and one brother, Leopold Prejean.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today (Februry 2, 1998) in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Alan Stelly, Paxton Latiolais, E. J. Olivier, Dennis Albert, Joseph "Bay" Hebert and Patrick Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryant Prejean, Zachary Latiolais and Gervais Prejean.

Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro is in charge of arrangements.
