Carl G. Ade, 88, died at 8:47 AM Wednesday, April 27, 1994, in Lafayette Home Hospital, where he had been a patient since Sunday. Born Nov. 21, 1905, in Tippecanoe County, he was a lifelong county resident. He was a graduate of Montmorenci High School and attended Lafayette Business College. He married Mildred A. DeBoy Sept. 24, 1932, in Otterbein, IN; she died Jan. 29, 1969.

Mr. Ade was the retired co-owner of Ade's service station on Schuyler Avenue. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and had served as a church secretary for many years.

Surviving are three sons, Wayne E. Ade, Donald L. Ade and Larry F. Ade, all of Lafayette; a daughter, Joyce Younker of Lafayette; three sisters, Leona Pritchard, Mrs. Ruth Sackett, both of Lafayette, and Helen (Mrs. Jim) Morgan of Otterbein; a brother, Clarence Ade of West Lafayette; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
