Clara was the oldest daughter of John Sebastian and Magdalena (Kirpes) Tritz.
She married John Peter Kemp and had five children. Clara and her husband died
six days apart in the 1918 flu epidemic. Her mother and father, with eight
children of their own still living at home, raised Clara and John's children.
