Pink Jenkins loved life and he loved work. He worked in the dietary department of the NC School for the Deaf for 21 years. He also worked at the hospital, in the dry cleaning business and at Ebony Funeral Home.
At his homegoing, there were five ministers representing five churches to send him on his way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Arion L. Jenkins and Dwight A. Connelly; Brothers George, Jim. John, and Tossie, and a sister, Mary Lou.
Surviving him were his devoted wife; 5 sons; four daughters; two sisters, 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.
His funeral was held on Tuesday 11 Septemeber 2001.
