Ray Burnett, 94, of the Knowles Community passed away February 27, 2012 at the Heartland Care Center in Hobbs, New Mexico. He was born October 29, 1917 to Alfred & Dora Burnett. He married Lela McIlvain August 18, 1935 in Stanton, Texas.
He was a Baptist and resided in the Knowels Community for almost 60 years.
He is survived by his wife Lela Burnett, son Bobby & LeJean Burnett of Lovington, NM, three grandchildren Jim Bob & Melissa Burnett of Artesia, NM, Dale Ray & Sheri Burnett of Lovington, NM and Troy Lee & Phillip Ozburn of Lovington, NM, eight great grandchildren, two brothers Alfred Burnett, Jr. of Hurst, TX and Herman Lee Burnett of Coosbay, OR.
Preceded in death by his parents and a son O'Brian Burnett.
