PEPPERELL - Amanda O. Jensen, 88;

Mrs. Amanda O. (Olson) Jensen died at the age of 88 at the Groton Community Hospital on May 10th 1956. She was born on February 20th 1869 in Ostra Ljungby, Sweden the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ola Jönsson and Kristina Johanson.

She came to this country as a teenager with her sister Charlotte, when she arrived here she met and married her Husband Jens A. Jensen and were married in Brooklyn New York. Soon after their marriage they moved to Arlington Massachusetts and her husband operated a Restaurant with his brothers. After living in Arlington for several years she and her family moved to Pepperell Massachusetts where they had taken up permanent residence.

Mrs. Jensen was a communicant of Pepperell's First Congregational Church.

Mrs. Jensen was the beloved mother of Mr. Albert J. Jensen of Townsend, Mr. Arthur R. Jensen of Lunenburg, Mr. Frank A. Jensen of Chattanooga Tennessee, Mr. Chester T. Jensen of Panama City Florida, Mrs. Charlotte O. (Jensen) Iten of Pepperell, Mrs. Adeline V. (Jensen) Ferguson of Sutton, and Mrs. Amanda O. (Jensen) Blake of Old Bridge New Jersey.

Also she leaves 10 grandchildren, Walter Jensen, Richard Jensen, Arthur Jensen Jr, Montell Jensen, John Jensen, Russell Jensen, Gene Blake, Gloria Blake, Ramona Iten, and Steven Ferguson.

Mrs. Jensen was also the grandmother of the late Albert Jensen who was killed in action during World War II.

Amanda also leaves several great grandchildren as well.

Amanda is also survived by two sisters Mrs. Anna Maria Karlsson and Mrs. Gustava Anderberg both of Sweden, Amanda was also the sister of the late Charlotte Jensen of Brookline, N.H., and Mr. Alfred Olson of Sweden.

Funeral services will be held from the Badger funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Pepperell Visiting hours at the funeral home are are
tomorrow night from 7 to 9.
